AKV are developing an innovative solution for operators looking to upgrade their C-39 indicators for the new C-40. The Slaved Indicator App will retain the ability for the C-40 to have a Slaved Indicator weight-on-hook display available to the pilot on an iPad or iPhone. If retaining the C-39, converting to the App with its many features will free up panel space and reduce weight by removing the analogue indicator.
This new design utilizes our Patented Remote Gauge App and will allow the pilot to mount the iPad or iPhone in the pilot’s line-of-sight for external load operations.
The kit includes a compact Bluetooth module powered by 5vDC via USB-C, interface connectors for the C-39 / C-40 and the downloadable App from the Apple Store.
As the design is a reference tool only and the Bluetooth module being USB powered, it will not be STC’d, but instead meet the minor modification criteria.
